    OVERVIEW

This is a great opportunity to see the nature and wildlife of Phillip Island as you enjoy a leisurely hike to see Koalas up-close, at the Koala Conservation Centre. Experience the beautiful nature of Rhyll Inlet and the Oswin Roberts Reserve on a leisurely hike before reaching the Koala Conservation Centre to see these beautiful creatures up close. Rhyll Inlet is a well-known habitat for migratory waders and a good spot for bird watching. Follow the mangrove boardwalk past some beautiful lookouts to Oswin Roberts Reserve. The reserve is the last remaining bushland on Phillip Island and allows for wildlife watching. If you are lucky you might spot some of the many wallabies in the area. At the end of your hike you will have time to visit the Koala Conservation Centre where you can stroll through eucalyptus woodland and come face-to-face with koalas in their natural habitat. The center has unique treetop boardwalks to allow guests to get close to the treetops and the koalas.

    OVERVIEW

Get close to Australia’s largest fur seal colony during this eco-cruise that glides within feet of thousands of seals frolicking in the water and sunning themselves on the rocks. Perched on the southwestern side of the island is the jaw-dropping area known as Summerland Peninsula, a magnificent headland that marks the end of Phillip Island’s western-most point and the beginning of the sea’s never-ending blue horizon. One of the area’s most endearing residents is the Australian fur seal, unlike other fur seals, the Australian is noted for its small ears, large eyes and sharp teeth. An agile swimmer with a streamlined shape and strong flippers, it can dive to depths of 650 feet. Your adventure begins as you board the vessel at the pier and head out into the crystalline waters of Bass Strait, which separates Tasmania from the Australian mainland. Feel the ocean breeze surround you as your captain cruises by the picturesque coastline. Along the way, your friendly captain and crew will share their knowledge of the history and ecology of the colony. Be sure to have your camera with you on this wonderful scenic adventure as this is truly a nature and photographers dream tour. If you’re lucky, pods of dolphins will cruise alongside the boat.
