Everybody loves friendly Rays! Enjoy two great ray activities -a personal encounter plus shore-side snorkeling. Then relax and have fun at a private shore club with its resident, friendly critters, and water trampoline. Mere minutes from your ship, you’ll be provided with snorkeling gear and briefed on equipment and the rays. Your guide works with small groups to give you personal attention.

First, you’ll encounter the rays in a shallow area and get to feed them if you like. Then, you'll move to a larger area for snorkeling with a larger school of rays, nurse sharks, and all their colorful fish friends. Ride across the island in an open-air Jeep to a natural pool along the sea and a cave adorned with centuries-old pictographs. You will enjoy uninterrupted views of the gorgeous countryside as you travel through Aruba’s rugged interior, often on roads only accessible in a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. The seaside pool lies within the Arikok National Park, an environmentally protected wonderland that covers nearly 20% of the island. It will be immensely relaxing to ease into the crystal-clear waters of the secluded pool, which fills a bowl-like depression in the volcanically formed shoreline. Nearby, you will explore Fontein Cave, whose limestone walls are covered with reddish-brown drawings – some floor-to-ceiling – that the indigenous Arawaks created long ago. Anthropologists speculate that the artists may have been under the influence of psychedelics. To experience a weird sensation yourself, dip your feet into the freshwater pool nearby and enjoy a fish pedicure of sorts.

Prepare to explore the “wild-side” of Bonaire on this exciting off-road ATV adventure.

Your journey begins with a short bus transfer to the quad biking location where you will receive a safety briefing. Afterwards, don your helmet and climb aboard your self-drive ATV, following the lead ATV along the Washikemba Reservoir.

En route, you’ll experience the rugged terrain of the Washikemba Reservoir. Here, keep an eye out for wild donkeys, goats and iguanas.

Enjoy a short stop at the Spelonk Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Bonaire. Your adventure continues to one of Bonaire’s many caves, which are home to Bonairean bats. An exploration of the cave will reveal these mysterious insect-eating creatures. The return journey will take you through the area of Bolivia, taking in views of the ocean, before heading back to Kralendijk.

Enjoy a fun and exciting drive on your off-road safari jeep with wonderful views of Tortola and the surrounding islands from viewpoints that are not the typical tourist route. Your scenic drive around the island takes you through villages, on and off-roads and along coastal roadways.

Departing the cruise port, you will pass through Road Town before following a trail up to Ridge Road. There will be stops at various points for photo opportunities. Next, visit a beach and have a refreshing drink. Rinse the dust off with a swim in the sea, or relax on the white-sand beach before continuing back to the ship.

The Island Zipline Adventure course is a combination of the Osprey Zipline plus the Seahawk Zip to give you six high-flying zips plus a series of V-net bridges, chimney climbs and cargo nets, designed to challenge but not overwhelm your physical and mental strength. Tour starts with an elevator ride to the top of the Flighthouse.

With platforms at 120-feet above ground and top speed of over 50 mph, your senses will be dazed with adrenaline as you zip out over the beach and reef of Great Stirrup Cay. OVERVIEW
Race through the tree canopy on a series of exhilarating zip lines and then cool off in the Damajagua River as it cascades through the dense jungle terrain. The five ziplines more or less follow the river and offer a wonderfully unique perspective of the tropical landscape, as they span platforms high above the ground. To reach some of the ziplines, you will need to walk across swaying suspension bridges, which definitely add to the excitement. Afterwards, you will follow the guide along a section of the river with a dozen cascades. You will jump off some of the waterfalls into the deep pools below, while other waterfalls are more easily negotiated by sliding down natural waterslides carved in the rocks. You will also have time to swim in the cool, remarkably blue water between the cascades. Over time, the Damajagua has carved steep canyons into the terrain, so you can expect the scenery to be magnificent.

On the way to the beach, you will stop at a Tequila Hacienda where you will participate in a tequila tasting and learn about the process making of this traditional Mexica spirit. The white-sand beaches in this part of Mexico are wide, pristine and uncrowded as you will discover once you hop off the dune buggy to enjoy the tropical setting. You will be free to do most anything you please on the beach. You might stretch out on a towel and bask in the sun, read in the shade of a palm tree and stroll along the coast. Cruise the winding Monkey River, looking for wildlife in the surrounding rainforest, and then enjoy a hike with a naturalist that will explain the plants' medicinal uses.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at a small village near the mouth of the Monkey River, where you will begin a leisurely cruise upstream. Along the way, the guide will provide enlightening commentary about the region's history, including how the economy boomed in the late 19th century when large volumes of bananas were exported.

Little evidence of that thriving time period remains, as the meandering Monkey River is bordered by undeveloped rainforest. Natural beauty and remarkably diverse flora and fauna are now the main attractions.

You can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including crocodiles sunning on the riverbanks, turtles popping their heads above the water's surface, and iguanas perched in the tree limbs. You might even spot a troop of black howler monkeys screeching in the forest.

Tropical birds are just as abundant along the river, especially wading birds such as herons, brightly colored tanagers and keel-billed toucans, the national bird of Belize. Toucans are easy to spot because of their large, colorful bills and how they croak like frogs.

Once you disembark, you will hike through the surrounding forest while the naturalist guide points out plants with medicinal qualities. For instance, leaves of the soursop are often brewed into a tea that reduces fever, and the wild yam has anti-inflammatory properties.

Drive a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to the eastern shore of Aruba, a spectacularly scenic area full of natural wonders and a 19th-century gold mill. Your Utility Terrain Vehicle or UTV has better traction that most ATVs and is made for heavier duty, so it is ideal to negotiate the island’s rugged terrain. You can drive the 2-person UTV or ride along as a passenger. Either way, it will be a thrill. Although Aruba isn’t often associated with a gold rush, it did experience one after the precious metal was discovered in 1824. You will see evidence of the frenzy that followed at the ruins of the abandoned Bushiribana Gold Mill. Not far off, you will view beautiful Blackstone Beach, the island’s only beach made of volcanic black pebbles, and a natural rock bridge that the pounding of the sea created. Later, back on the island’s western shore, you can enjoy a refreshing swim at Mangel Halto Beach.

Behold the natural beauty of St. Maarten from several perspectives, perhaps the most remarkable being from a Sky Explorer chairlift as it glides up and down towering Sentry Hill. The chairlift is just one of attractions on the restored 17th-century Rockland Estate, which includes a small museum that details its history. From the hill’s summit, you will enjoy spectacular 360° panoramic views of the island and neighboring Saba, St. Barts, St. Eustatius and Anguilla. Few sights will be quite so memorable. Across the border in St. Martin – the French side of the island – you will enjoy free time in the capital of Marigot. Rows of brightly colored houses, sophisticated shopping and a laid-back ambiance are but a few of its charms. You will also stop at Maho Beach, a lengthy stretch of sand at the end of the airport’s runaway. There is no better spot to watch planes landing and taking off.

After an orientation at the Puerto Plata Country Club to ensure that you maximize the experiences, the thrills will begin in earnest. As you race off into the wilds in a caravan of ATV buggies, the natural beauty of the Dominican Republic will take center stage. Few adventures are more exhilarating, especially after a rain as the mud will be flying. The horseback ride will also be immensely fulfilling but the mood will be more relaxed and the setting more peaceful. The only sounds will be those of nature and the rhythmic clip clop of the horse’s hooves.
