Wildlife Reserve. Desert Adventures.
Sir Bani Yas is an island southwest of Abu Dhabi, and the largest natural island in the United Arab Emirates. In 1977, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan established a wildlife reserve on the island, which has now become home to thousands of free-roaming animals such as ostriches, cheetahs, giraffes, sea turtles, gazelle, and the endangered Arabian oryx. Also a bird sanctuary, over one-hundred species of wild birds can be found on the island. When not spotting animals, visitors can indulge in numerous outdoor adventures like kayaking, mountain biking, dune sailing and more.
