Today you can experience Curacao in a very special way. No motors or huge groups of people – just kayaking, snorkeling, nature and the open Caribbean waters! Departing from the pier, you’ll be transferred to your kayaking stop. Once you’ve been briefed by your guide, you‘re ready for your kayaking adventure. First you’ll travel to an old pier where you’ll be amazed at how the sun changes the color of the sea – a beauty that is unique to the Caribbean. If you look carefully, you may even be able to spot red coral under the water.
You’ll pass by Fort Beekenburg, a well-preserved fort, which was originally built in 1703 to protect the inner bay. You will also see an old typical manor estate known as the Quarantine House. Next, you’ll head to Doctor’s Bay for your snorkeling experience. You’ll get a glimpse into the underwater world and may also see a shipwrecked tugboat that all types of fish call home. This is the #1 snorkeling spot in Curacao.
