OVERVIEW

Discover how two signature Roatan products – artisan chocolates and savored rums – are made step-by-step and enjoy samplings of both. The celebrated spirits are blended together with all-natural locally sourced ingredients to create a variety of tasty rums. Roasted cocoa beans are used in the chocolate rum, pure coconut extract is mixed into another rum, and yet another rum is spiced with vanilla and orange peels. You will delve just as deeply into chocolate at a place that showcases the history of this sweet treat made from the fruit of cacao trees. The story is fascinating as is the process of making chocolate. While driving around the island, you will also pause for photos at the multi-colored Roatan sign.

Note: Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Children can participate in the tour without rum sampling consumption. Active participation from guests is required. Tour sequence may vary. Guests in wheelchairs and others with limited mobility should not select this tour. Allergies must be considered in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the tastings. Be aware that allergens, such as nuts and wheat, may be present due to chocolate/spirit production processes at the venues. Entrance to chocolate factory and spirit tasting experience are included. Guests who miss the return transportation will be responsible for getting back to the ship. Souvenirs, chocolate, and rum are available for purchase at the venues. Kindly note that some venues on the tour may not be private, and there could be other groups present during our visit. Tour sensitive to weather conditions. Guest must sign a waiver to participate.
