FAQ

I booked flights through NCL. Why are my flight is arriving in the embarkation city a day prior to the cruise?

Effective January 26, 2026, all guests purchasing air through NCL for all sailings will be required to arrive at least one day prior to sailing. This is not a promotional offer but a system setting update that will apply across all air booking methods.

If my flight is delayed/ cancelled the day before the cruise departs and I am unable to arrive the day of the cruise departure, will Norwegian provide flight protection?

By reserving your upcoming flights with Norwegian Cruise Line, guests are entitled to 24-hour, 7 day a week support from the NCL Air Team who can assist with questions and/or with any unforeseen last minute changes including flight cancelations. The NCL "Flight Assistance Hotline" phone number is 1-800-456-7179. Please be advised, some local and country's specific laws and regulations for selected itineraries will not allow a guest to join a port of call other than the embarkation port. In these instances, guests should file a claim with their travel insurance provider.

If I decided not to arrive the day prior, can I still book my flights with Norwegian?

To mitigate the possibility of missing your cruise embarkation port, guests booking their flights with Norwegian Cruise Line will arrive at least one day before the cruise departure date. Effective January 26, 2026, requests to travel on the day of embarkation will not be accommodated.
