Samana is well known as one of the top places in the world to see magnificent humpback whales. Your adventure begins when you are greeted shipside by your Captain and crew. You’ll then board a navy approved whale watching boat and your guide will brief you on your excursion and explain the safety features of the vessel. Then it's time to get up-close-and-personal with the whales. Humpback whales have been wintering near Samana for centuries and are depicted in ancient native drawings in caves located around Samana.

Thousands of these whales from the North Atlantic migrate south to enjoy the warm waters and to mate. Get ready for some awesome photo opportunities as you learn about these whales, their habitat and behaviors.
