You’ll journey to the ancient place of Mayan pilgrimage known today as Chacchoben, also known as "The Place of Red Corn". At the pier, you’ll be greeted by a bilingual guide who will direct you to an air-conditioned bus. Onboard the bus your guide will brief you on the interesting history and unique attributes of this sacred Mayan site. Upon arrival at Chacchoben you’ll be surrounded by jungle. Your guide will escort you through the ruins, giving you a complete explanation of the sacred temples and other structures seen there. See original red paint on the stucco walls of one of the pyramids and the temple where a mural was found showing the astronomical positions of the planet Venus. You’ll have time to climb the Gran Basamento taking you above tree level. Here archaeologists found ceremonial offerings dating to around 1000 B.C. Your guide will also explain about the wildlife and medicinal plants that are used by the modern-day descendants of the ancient Mayan people. During the tour, you will reach a structure known as the Gran Basamento, which is not a pyramid, but an elevated platform.

Travelling through Jamaica's beautiful countryside, you'll drive past some historic sites and districts on the way to Dunn's River Falls. Described as a living and growing phenomenon, the waterfall continuously regenerates itself from deposits of travertine rock, the result of precipitation of calcium carbonate from the river, as it flows over the falls. The small dome-shaped cataracts are usually associated with thermal spring activity found in limestone caves. Experience the thrill of climbing the waterfall, in a human chain led by experienced Falls Guides. Pause at the 'massage parlour' and experience the soothing effects of the water as it cascades over the rocks, to the sea. For the less adventurous, view the activities of the more intrepid from the "safe" vantage point of the terrace or deck. Race through the countryside in an all-terrain vehicle and enjoy a cool mountain stream and its tumbling cascades. The Damajagua River is the waterfalls’ source and the setting couldn’t be more beautiful. After hiking through the jungle, you will arrive at a series of cascades that comprise this natural wonder. You will be free to swim in the numerous mountain pools, slide down cascades with slick rock chutes and even jump off some of the waterfalls into the refreshing water below. This area is only accessible on foot, which limits the number of other adventurers. The adrenaline rush will continue once you ease into an ATV and tear off into jungle. You can take the wheel or ride in the passenger seat. Either way, it will be exhilarating, especially if it’s been raining because the mud will be flying. Although you will be mostly off road, you will stop in a village to interact with the locals.

Your tour begins with a scenic drive along the coast to a small town known as St. Ann’s Bay. View the sights from your comfortable coach as your guide narrates the history and provides interesting facts about Jamaica. Observe the town’s classic Statue of Columbus, honoring his landing here. Continue to Fern Gully, a gorge filled with hundreds of varieties of ferns.

Visit Konoko Falls and Park, the Taino Indians called this Paradise and you’ll see why these original inhabitants choose this as a settlement site. You’ll hear the roar and feel the fresh mist of the spray from the spectacular waterfall. Follow the trails with your guide through this amazing rainforest. Hop on an Open-Air Double-Decker bus and enjoy unique views and fresh air on a tour filled with photo opportunities and local tastings. Starting at the Port in Philipsburg, the Dutch-side capital of St. Maarten, and passing by the Great Salt Pond, we’ll take you through the countryside to Marigot, the French-side capital, where you’ll enjoy a photo stop on a truly European atmosphere, with the waterfront, open-air markets, quaint shops, boutiques, and sidewalk cafés as your backdrop. After your brief stay in Marigot, you’ll reboard the Double-Decker and we’ll take you across the Causeway Swing Bridge, where, depending on the time of year, you may spot lovely sailboats and magnificent mega-yachts on the lagoon. Upon arriving at Maho Beach, you may watch thrilling airplanes flying overhead as they land at Princess Juliana International Airport. The journey continues along the southern side of the island with views of Simpson Bay Lagoon, where we’ll stop at a local rum distillery for a complimentary tasting of various rum flavors. Continuing your sightseeing journey, we’ll travel over Cole Bay Hill, where you may enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the nearby islands of Saba and St. Kitts, weather permitting. Your experience concludes in Philipsburg, where you’ll enjoy a delightful Dutch cheese tasting. From this convenient location, you are just a five-minute drive from the cruise terminal and within walking distance of a wide variety of shops, boutiques, restaurants, cafés, the boardwalk, and the beach.
