Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest, grandest ship, Norwegian Encore, has made her debut in the United States. The much-awaited ship arrived in New York City on November 10 after completing her first transatlantic voyage, with a two-day preview scheduled from November 11 to 13.
Celebrations are being kicked off with a scavenger hunt in Times Square on Monday November 11, where winners will be rewarded with a free cruise. Norwegian Encore will then make her way to Miami for a series of events, concluding with the christening ceremony and celebration on November 21, which includes a live performance by Norwegian Encore’s godmother and Grammy Award-winning singer and television host Kelly Clarkson.
Norwegian Encore will offer seven-day cruises to the Eastern Caribbean from her homeport in Miami beginning November 23, 2019. These itineraries include fan-favorite destinations such as San Juan, St. Thomas and Tortola; as well as enough days at sea to truly enjoy the cruise ship activities that make Norwegian Encore such an exciting addition to the Norwegian fleet. Speaking of exciting – Norwegian Encore is bringing incomparable thrills to the sea, including the world’s longest race track at sea; the largest outdoor laser tag arena; and a brand-new immersive gaming experience in the Galaxy Pavilion.
In 2020, Norwegian Encore will head back to New York City to start her Bermuda and Canada and New England season starting April 22, 2020. These destinations are a perfect pairing to the latest Breakaway-plus ship – imagine witnessing an stunning Bermuda sunset from The Waterfront, while enjoying a delicious meal in one of the extraordinary restaurants and bars onboard, including the all-new Onda by Scarpetta. You can also rest assured that after a day of exploring the sights, you will get to kick back and relax in stylish, comfortable staterooms. Alternatively, you can also settle in for a day of pampering at the spa, where the thermal suite awaits.
It doesn’t stop there – Norwegian Encore is taking it up a notch with Broadway entertainment offerings including the Tony-award winning Kinky Boots, fan-favorites The Choir of Man and Happy Hour Prohibition: The Musical.
Norwegian Encore will head back to the tropics in the winter of December 2020. Her Western Caribbean from Miami itineraries with stops in Roatan, Cozumel and Harvest Caye, an island paradise exclusive to Norwegian guests, are hard to resist! Then, in the spring of 2021, Norwegian Encore will make her West Coast debut and sail to Alaska from Seattle.
