Historical Walking Tour Frederiksted

Of all three historic towns in the Virgin Islands, the history of Frederiksted is one of the most remarkable. You’ll enjoy a walking tour that shares the history of the town while showcasing the colorful waterfront, historic Fort Frederik, Victorian buildings and historic churches. You’ll begin on the waterfront adjacent to the pier and wind your way through the wide avenues of the town, from Strand Street to Customs House Street, then on to Prince Street where the Old Danish School and St. Patrick’s Church stand then to King Cross Street and ending at Strand Street Park.

An inside visit to Fort Frederik and the Caribbean Museum is included. Guides will highlight the important architectural and design elements of the historic buildings which reflect both the Danish Colonial and African influences of the builders, history of the families who own and occupy the buildings and their historic uses. The tour ends outside the Mall in the front street.
