Today, however, Visby is best known as the Town of Roses and Ruins, and one of Sweden's most popular vacation resort destination.

From the inner harbor proceed to Almedalen, the site of the Hanseatic Harbor. See the powder tower, the oldest remaining structure in Visby and nearby, stroll through the lovely Botanical Gardens. Continue your walk through the narrow winding, medieval streets to the evocative ruins of one of the medieval churches. The island is a tranquil oasis in the midst of the city and here, the traditional Finnish way of life is portrayed in the cottages, farmsteads and manors of the past four centuries that have been relocated from around different provinces of Finland. The oldest building on the island is a 1686 wooden church from Karuna, near Turku. During your cruise, you'll be treated to some wonderful views on the crystal clear lagoon as well as the island highest peak, Mount Otemanu. Your exploration of Recife will begin aboard an air-conditioned motor coach. After journeying across graceful bridges, you’ll then enter the splendid Golden Chapel that is part of the Convent and Church of Saint Anthony. Its intricate Baroque design, covered in gold leaf, makes it one of the most beautiful and historic examples of religious art in Brazil. The church also houses a variety of religious artifacts.

Ride along the famous Boa Viagem beachfront as you take a scenic drive along Brazil’s northeast coats.

Later, you’ll pass the imposing Governor’s Mansion and St. Isabel Theater.

Pastel-colored stuccoes houses and meticulously restored churches line the shady streets of your next destination, the 16th-century colonial town of Olinda. At local square, you’ll leave your motor coach and board a minivan to traverse the narrow winding streets of this historical center.

Olinda’s main square, the Alto da Sé lies on the crest of the town’s highest hill. A remarkably well-preserved colonial city, founded in 1534, UNESCO has declared Olinda a world historical monument.

Once there, you’ll leave the minivan for 30-minute exploration on foot at the Alto da Sé and visit the Sé Cathedral. Here you will have breathtaking views of Olinda and photo opportunity, while complimentary coconut water is served. While walking, take a moment to peruse its colorful Portuguese tiles and woodcarvings, which are adorned with gold leaf.

Return to your minivan and drive back to the square, where your motor coach awaits to return you to the pier.
