Go Local: Bike Through Dutch Landscapes

OVERVIEW

Experience the Dutch countryside like a local on an active cycling adventure through the rural Waterland region north of Amsterdam. After transferring to Amsterdam, walk to the bike venue for your fitting before setting off with your guide. A short ride and ferry crossing bring you into Waterland, where green fields, waterways, polders, windmills and charming villages create a quintessentially Dutch landscape. Cycle through the countryside and take in scenes of cows, flowers and traditional communities along the way. Pause at a local café for a well-earned piece of cake accompanied by coffee or tea. After approximately 10–15 miles of cycling, depending on the group’s pace and fitness level, return by ferry and ride back to the bike shop before rejoining your coach for the transfer to the ship.
