Begin in Allerton Garden, where a nature walk through the Lawai Valley reveals carefully composed garden rooms filled with exotic vegetation, sculptures, water features and towering trees. Hear about the vision of philanthropist Robert Allerton and the garden's recognition by National Geographic Traveler as one of its 50 Places of a Lifetime in America. Venture farther into the valley to McBryde Garden, the organization's flagship garden and more than 250 acres of conservation land containing thousands of rare and endangered tropical plants collected from the Pacific Basin and tropical regions around the world. After a delightful outdoor lunch within the gardens, set off on a short, leisurely walk on a magical trail with some of the rarest species of plants found in the garden. The enchanted tropical rain forest leads you to one of the most beautiful waterfalls on Kauai. To end your visit, stop by the Visitor Center for some detailed information on the inception and planting of the gardens a century ago. En route back to the ship, you'll stop at the Spouting Horn blowhole-- one of the most popular attractions on Kauai.
