Sit back and relax during this scenic driving tour around the island of Martha’s Vineyard, passing through its most characteristic towns. In 1602 a British fisherman named the island to honor his daughter and the dominant vegetation. You will discover much of triangular-shaped Martha’s Vineyard remains free from development. In Oak Bluff, colorful gingerbread cottages and the more than 100-year-old Flying Horses Carousel. Edgartown is the island’s first colonial settlement, it is now known for its stately white Greek houses.


Returning back towards Martha’s Vineyard, you will pass through two quaint rural towns: West Tisbury and Chilmark. Both towns are surrounded by state forests and rich farmland.


A photo stop is made in Menemsha the charming fishing village before heading to Vineyard Haven, one of New England’s busiest ports when sailing vessels carried cargo in the 1830s.
