Head to the Bygdoy Peninsula and visit the Viking Ships Museum, housing three authentic long ships dating from the Viking era and items found onboard the ships. All ships were excavated from the clay banks of the Oslo fjord and restored as a memory to the Vikings. The ships are very well preserved, and serve as an excellent example of the Viking Period's daring initiative and ship building craftsmanship.
Stop at Vigeland Sculpture Park, featuring an amazing assemblage of over 150 more than 200 sculptures in stone, iron and bronze. Created by Gustav Vigeland, they represent the various stages of life. As you stroll along the paths, your guide will discuss this incredible park and its art.
Drive through the beautiful residential areas of Oslo past Holmenkollen Ski Jump and stop at a viewpoint for a fantastic view of the city and the fjord far below.
