Drive through the New Town of Rhodes, passing Mandraki Harbor and Fort Nicholas, where two bronze deer statues mark the site where the Colossus of Rhodes is believed to have stood. Continue up Monte Smith, where you will visit the Rhodian House, a traditional 19th-century home. The interior is furnished with authentic furniture and art pieces. From here, enjoy a panoramic view of Rhodes, the ancient stadium and the Temple of Apollo.
Continue your drive to the village of Archangelos, one of the few villages on the island where some of the locals still wear traditional dress. This picturesque village has a tradition of carpet and pottery making. You will have the opportunity to observe the women demonstrating their techniques of weaving and the potter's craft.
A leisurely walk into the village will bring you to a local home, where you will have the chance to view a traditional village home.
