Norwegian Getaway: Overview
Introducing our latest expression of Freestyle Cruising, Norwegian Getaway, sailing in 2014. Her design will offer the best of our current fleet while infusing a variety of new innovations found on her sister ship Norwegian Breakaway to create the best vacation ever. She will be setting sail in the spring of 2014 from Miami. Norwegian Getaway will be the largest ship ever to home port year-round in Miami.

First Steel Cut
The first piece of steel was cut at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany on Friday, May 4, for the construction of Norwegian Getaway. "Cutting the first piece of steel for Norwegian Getaway takes us one step closer to having this ship join our fleet in 2014 and begin sailing year-round from Miami, the cruise capital of the world," said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian's chief executive officer.
