OVERVIEW

Be awed by the wild majestic scenery while cruising the sheltered waters around Paamiut in a boat with a comfortable closed cabin. As you glide along the rugged coastal terrain, you can observe the raw wilderness from out on deck or inside the cabin.Founded in 1742 as a key navigation landmark, Paamiut marks the gateway to the fjord, which has changed little, if at all, over the centuries. It is still a spectacularly rugged landscape of island and jagged mountains, where nature reigns supreme. The captain will stop the boat for better viewing if you catch sight of humpback whales, orcas, harbor seals or any other wildlife of note. Be sure to scan the skies for seabirds such as kittiwakes, fulmars and Brünnich’s guillemots, which are large black-and-white auks that breed on the fjord’s rocky cliffs.
