Does the onboard Starbucks accept payment by Starbucks gift card or app?

Yes. You can use either one. You cannot pay with points, like at many airport and grocery store locations, but you will earn points when using your app or Starbucks card. If you don't have a WiFi package and you plan on using the Starbucks on board, be sure to load your card before getting on the ship or in a port, if you have service.

Is it allowed/reasonable to bring a empty refillable water bottle on board?

Also, is the water in the stateroom taps good. Are there bottle refill stations around the ship?

Yes, you may bring a refillable water bottle with you. The only water fountains in public areas are in the buffet and they have signs asking that guests not use them to refill a water bottle. The water in your stateroom comes from the same source as in the restaurants, however. The ship produces fresh water by means of a reverse osmosis purifier, making the water on board, including that in your stateroom, more pure than that of most municipal water systems.

how many bottles of water do you get for the 12 liters or the bigger liters?

The bottles are liter size so if the package says 12 liters, it's 12 bottles. We purchased a 6-pack for 3 of us on our last cruise and it was more than enough. There is plenty of fresh drinking water on board and you can also bring a refillable bottle. You can't refill a bottle directly from a dispenser, like in the buffet, but you can grab several cups and refill your bottle that way.

Norwegian Getaway Mid Ship Balcony Room #10262-Mediterranean Cruise

We are a family of 4 and we are hoping room #10262 has two twins =queen, a pullman bed, and a sofa couch. Can anyone confirm the layout? If you had another room with a pullman bed, please let me know the room number. Thank you for your help!!

Room 10262 is a category BB Balcony stateroom located mid-ship on the port side of Deck 10. There are two single beds which can be pushed together to form a queen size bed. This bed is near the center of the room, and is oriented with the foot of the bed toward the front of the ship and the head of the bed toward the rear. There also is a sofa which can be made into a bed. It is located between the primary bed and the sliding glass door which leads to the balcony. Your stateroom is rated for four passengers. I have not been inside this particular room, but in most cases a four-passenger room also will feature a Pullman style bed which can be pulled down to form an upper berth above the sofa. A ladder is stored in the closet to assist in climbing into the upper berth. In some cases, however, the sofa may fold out into a double bed instead of there being a Pullman. If you need further assistance or information about the specific layout of the room, you should contact the NCL Reservations Department by phone at the number shown on this website.

Your Family Mini-Suite is located mid-ship starboard on Deck 12. The entrance to the forward elevator lobby is ten cabins (about 100 feet) from your stateroom. For photos and a floor plan of your room, please click on the Deck Plans link above. There is a coffee maker in your room, but not a clothes iron. You can borrow an iron for a brief period of time by contacting the Guest Services Desk or simply asking your stateroom attendant.

I do not recall seeing them either of the two times we traveled in a Haven Spa Suite. You probably should bring your own.

On our last sailing we indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary and a card was left in our room to redeem for a complimentary cake at any of the dining rooms. Bow View? Whenever I'm on a boat, I like to stand on the Bow, to look where we're going.

I don't believe I was able to do that on the Getaway. (You could only get close on Deck 17 if paid for Haven.) There didn't seem to be any general access to the actual Bow; (like outdoors on Deck 9 or 17, or indoors on Deck 15 or 16.) Why is that ? Are the other NCL ships laid out like that ?

You can view the design of each of NCL's ships by clicking on the "Deck Plans" link for each ship. Some do have open decks near the front of the ship and some have forward observation lounges, but the forward-most part of the bow is a restricted area on all ships.

Are we allowed to use walkie talkies to communicate aboard ship?

My cellular provider roaming does not include cruise ships, and pay per use texting will get expensive. Trying to find a way to keep in touch with my teens, while on board.

Two-way radios, or "walkie talkies," are allowed on board, but you may find that they are less than effective because the steel hull of the ship can create signal interference. Another option is to have everyone in your party download the Norwegian App on their cell phones. It is a convenient and effective way to communicate with family and friends while on board the ship.
