I am booking last minute. Will i have difficulty making entertainment reservations or dinner reservations?

Asked by: rita4mom
You can check online to make the reservations. Even if nothing is available online, you should be able to make reservations onboard the ship. They reserve part of the dinner and show for guests making reservations onboard the ship. For shows, there is always walk-in seats available for guests with no reservations.

how mahy ft. are the decks from one end to the other?

Asked by: moncoll
If you look at the ship details it should give you the max length and width of the ship. The individual decks can be shorter because the decks do taper toward the top.

Is there an iron and ironing board provided in the mini suite rooms?

Asked by: Nazneen
No. Due to fire hazard issues, the staterooms do not have clothes iron and you are not allowed to bring irons on board the ship. However, you can request the Guest Services Desk or the cabin stewards they will be happy to bring you an iron and ironing board for a few hours.

There will be 6 adults and 4 children. Which dinning rooms can accommodate us? Will we need reservations?

There are no reserved seating in the main dining room. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. However, for party of 10, they should be able to join 2 or 3 tables for you. You may have to wait a few min to get the table ready.

Are jackets required for men at any of the on board restaurants on the Escape?

Asked by: KRath
You are cruising Freestyle. Formal clothes are not required on NCL. You can wear "smart casual" clothes to the specialty dining rooms and the main dining rooms. There are no formal nights but they do have "Dress up or not" nights where formals are suggested (but not required). However, if you plan to have family portraits taken with the Captain, formals would be nice.

Which staterooms have bathtubs

which floors have bathtubs and which ships to Alaska and to Canada
Asked by: Myrna
Some of the mini-suites and higher class of stateroom have bathtubs. However not all min-suites have tubs. You may want to look at the floor plan for the room to see if the room has a tub if that is one of your requirements for the stateroom.

I don't see much info on "Vibe Beach Club".

Am I missing it somewhere on the website, or perhaps someone can fill me in. Thanks

I was just reading info on it located under the bar and lounges tab. You have to buy a pass to access it at guest services. They are limited amounts sold. I do not know the cost.

My husband is 6'10" tall. I cruised with my sister this year but wonder if he would be able to stand in the shower.

Would any of the regular rooms accommodate us?
Asked by: epk930
I'm not sure of the exact height of the shower but it may barely accommodate a 6'10'' guest. Since the height of all the showers will be the same, you really don't have much choice in the matter.

Do I need to bring an electricity converter?

Asked by: Carolems
All ships have 110 V and 220 V A/C. The connector is US prongs for 110 V and European style prongs for the 220 V. There is one outlet in your room next to the dressing table and another one in the bathroom. The outlets are limited and are not located next to your bed. You may want to take an extension cord if you want to connect some device next to your bed.

No. The balcony dividers are fire proof doors and to prevent the spread of fire, the doors are locked when the ship is sailing.

Visa requirements vary depending on your country of origin. For US citizens, visa is not required. As far as passports are concerned, US citizens can travel with a govt issued photo id and birth certificate but it is advisable to carry your passport.

Do restaurants accommodate a vegan diet?

I've noticed most restaurants on the ship have only vegetarian options and very few at that. How accommodating are they of a vegan diet? Will I find things to eat at the specialty restaurants?
Asked by: RunsOnPlants
All restaurants have at least one vegetarian dish. However, it may not qualify as a strict vegan dish. If you have any other special dietary requirements contact NCL about a month in advance and inform them about the dietary requirements. Follow up with NCL a week before the cruise as a reminder. Once on board, contact the restaurant manager to ensure that they are aware of it.

Cagneys or Le Bristro? Which would you do?

Asked by: bcrc18
I would say it is a personal preference. Steakhouse v/s French restaurant. If your search for the menus online, you'll find plenty of external cruise related website where past guests have posted the menus. That should give you an idea to decide.

how dose a stateroom looks like

we will like to see the rooms
Asked by: Munecachula
If you look at the Deck plans for the ship, you should be able to navigate to your stateroom and see generic pics and floor plan to your room. I would suggest doing a generic search on any search engine and you will find plenty of websites where guests have posted pics of the room. You should also be able to find videos too.

What's the earliest time to board from original city?

Asked by: Yocko
The check-in process usually starts at around 11 AM and they will let you board the ship around 12 noon. However, you will not be allowed into your staterooms until 2-3 PM to give the staff enough time to clean the rooms. You can have lunch on board the ship and explore the public areas of the ship.

Are the pools heated?

We are traveling out of NYC at the end of March, so I would imagine it's a bit chilly until we are much further south. Additionally, would you recommend bringing coats for the rope courses, etc. during those first couple of days?
Asked by: SAMYsMom
The pools do have the option to be heated. However, the pools are in an open deck.It will be cold once you get out of the pool. As far as the rope course is concerned, it can get windy since you are up in the open area. If you plan to use it on the first couple of days, I would recommend a jacket. It will be cold on the any of the open decks even if you are walking. The ships usually do between 18-20 knots and that adds to the wind chill factor.

Are there laundry rooms onboard NCL Escape, thereby allowing me to pack less?

Asked by: popsfull
There are no passenger accessible laundry facilities on any NCL ship, but laundry and dry cleaning services are available on board at prices similar to what you might expect to pay at a land-based hotel. The ship also will offer a laundry special near the middle of the cruise when you can have one full bag of clothing laundered for a single low price.

There is plenty of space under the bed. Even the large bags fit under there easily. Your stateroom also has a full length closet and you can store smaller bags there on the floor.
