As sister ships, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Joy proudly offer the same expansive Observation Lounge and many other twin features, including a waterfront promenade lined with bars, lounges, and dining options. Norwegian Cruise Line is about to spread joy along the West Coast — Norwegian Joy, that is. Originally built to cruise in Asian waters, Norwegian Joy is bringing its grandeur to the West Coast by offering year-round sailings to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera, the Pacific Coast, and the Panama Canal starting in May 2019. Before taking on the new itineraries, Norwegian Joy will undergo $50 million in upgrades, including a Starbucks® store. But that's not all. Norwegian Joy also has a few tricks up her sleeve, including some stunning Observation Lounges and a race track.

Deciding what to do on New Year’s Eve has always been a bit of a dilemma for me. Do I stay home and watch the countdown on TV, do I go out and fight the crowds, do I host a party, or do I hope to get invited to a party? Last year I came up with one of my most brilliant ideas yet. I packed my bags and headed out to sea to ring in the New Year.
Norwegian Cruise Line announced its sixteenth ship in the fleet earlier this week. Norwegian Bliss will begin sailing Alaska and the Caribbean, with select voyages to the Mexican Riviera, in June 2018.
